Subject: Agent planning/multiple-context/probabilistic inference position
at IET

IET seeks a senior scientist/lead software engineer/architect
(M.S./Ph.D. or equivalent work-related experience) with background or
experience areas among the following.

- Artificial intelligence technologies:
   - Distributed planning/agent-based architectures
   - Probabilistic knowledge representation and reasoning
   - Traditional (logic/frame-based) knowledge representation and
     reasoning
   - Approaches supporting efficient reasoning in multiple, branching
     contexts, including reason dependency management
- Implementation technologies:
   - Java/C++ -based implementation
   - Rapid prototyping/extreme programming
   - Aspect-oriented programming
- Management:
   - Program management of multi-person, multi-organization, multi-year
     contracts developing R&D technologies
   - Marketing DoD R&D organizations (e.g., DARPA, BMDO, NIMA)

IET (headquartered in Rosslyn/Arlington VA) focuses on research,
design, and development of technologies to support advanced reasoning
applications.

Initial tasking would be under IET's effort to develop an integrated
probabilistic/multiple-context reasoning capability within the Cougaar
agent architecture (see http://cougaar.alp.isotic.org/) as part of
DARPA's Ultra*Log program -- focused on military logistics applications
and open-source technology development.

Qualified applicants, please send a resume/CV to Mr. Geff Woodward --
