Fw: problems Loading of ".ppt" Files


I am surprised at this. No one else has reported any problems, and I
am myself able to download them in front of you every day at the
beginningof the class. I am forwarding this to class mailing list so
anyone who may have had and solved this problem can help you.

Rao,

I seem to be having a problem coaxing MS Powerpoint into opening
files "lect1.ppt," "lect2.ppt" and "lect3.ppt."  Not even the CA's
seem to know what to do, though I've attempted to open them on 
numerous different terminals at one IT site or other.  The CSP
file did open quite easily, by contrast.  What might be the cause
of the difficulty with the ".ppt" files ?
