Java Programming positions for Undergraduates

Positions are available for undergraduate students interested in Java
programming for the semantic web, especially XML, databases, and
related technologies. Examples of projects students have worked on in
the past include Java tools for XML schemas, a question-understanding
component for an information retrieval system, etc. More information
about the project is available on the web site (www.eas.asu.edu/~gcss/)
and the project URL above. Students may work up to 20 hours per week.

Qualifications:

* Prior successful completion (with B or higher grade) in at least one
  of: Artificial intelligence, algorithms, database management, software
  engineering, formal language theory.
* Knowledge of Java is required.
* Undergraduate U.S. citizens or permanent residents only.

Preference will be given to students with 3.0 or higher GPA.

How to apply: Send or bring a resume to the Computer Science and
Engineering Department office (Brickyard 5th floor) for placement in
Dr. Malyankar's mailbox. Attach an unofficial transcript from ASU (or
other universities attended). Include e-mail address; candidates to be
interviewed will be contacted by e-mail. Email a note to rmm@asu.edu
saying you have dropped off a resume.
