PDDL extension for AIPS-2002 Planning Competition

Dear colleagues,

A revised version of the document describing PDDL2.1 - the language to
be used in the AIPS-2002 planning competition - can be accessed from the
competition web page at:

PDDL2.1 supports the modelling of time and numeric quantities.  The
document presents the grammar and semantics and contains some
discussions and directions for further language developments. The new
version corrects some errors in the earlier versions and clarifies some
of the discussions. There are also minor corrections and revisions to
the grammar.

We would like to encourage as wide a participation in the competition as
possible, and welcome feedback on the PDDL2.1 document and other
resources stored on the competition web page (example domain
descriptions etc).

We have not yet finalised the organisation of the competition but will
make details available on the web page as they are decided.
