non-digest format for Planning List

Dear Planning List Digest Subscribers:

As you may have noticed the planning list has been hybernating
(euphemistically speaking) for quite a while now. Apart from my own
laziness in running it, a main reason has been that the digest format
was not working out well. To have a digest you need several messages
at once, and given the asynchronous nature the postings arrive, and
the time-sensitive nature of some of these messages, some of them
would expire by the time I got around to putting together a digest.

Since the interest in the list itself seems to be continuing given a
steady stream of subscription requests as well the questions I get at
conferences about whatever happened to the list, I have decided to
continue the list but in a non-digest asynchronous format.

*****From now on, I will forward any relevant message sent to
*****planning@asu.edu to the whole list pretty much immediately.

I don't think that this will increase the mail traffic too
much. However, if any of you would like to be taken off the list given
this change, just let me know.

ps: We all had a great time at the PLANET summer school over at Cyprus
(http://prometeo.ing.unibs.it/sschool/)--very ably organized by Yannis
Dimoupoulos. The beach and the water were great, and we even did some
planning stuff. Sorry you all missed the fun ;-). May be Alfonso or
someone will send a short report on it.

Regards
Rao
