scores for the midterm..

The scores from the midterm are attached. The test was graded out of 61--of which 54 are for the questions I gave and 7 are for 7 non-trivial points you could write in the last question.

 I will return the graded books in the class today.

I realize that the performance is quite uneven. Although we called it a sanity test, I think it is useful to say to ourselves: Serenity now; Sanity later.. 

We will talk more post-mortem in the class today.. One idea I have is to allow "test corrections". Specifically, I will record a video going over all the questions and

my answers. Anyone who listens to the video, corrects their test by putting in correct answers will get back some partial credit.
