New participation requirement (experimental)

Folks

 Since there seem to be too few questions in the class, I am not quite sure how to measure participation requirement. I am also not too sure what is getting through and what is not.. 

So, here is a new idea. Starting with today's class, I would like for you to try and jot down one or two non-trivial points you got out of that day's class (either through lecture or through readings). You sign your comment(s) with your name.

This can serve as some sort of highly informal acquired wisdom repository (in addition to giving me some approximate idea of the level of transfer.
