Reminder: Joint AI lab talk and Fall Seminar on Data and KnowledgeIntegration
Following is a Bio of matt Barry, tomorrow's speaker.
Matt Barry spent 10 years as a Space Shuttle
mission controller, operating the spacecraft
propulsion systems and developing real-time
analysis tools for the Mission Control Center
in Houston. After project management duties
for two years, Matt worked at the White House
Office of Science and Technology Policy,
developing technology policy for a variety
of national interests. Matt currently is
Director of the Advanced Technology department
at United Space Alliance in Houston, sponsoring
technology development and prototyping activities
for spaceflight operations applications. Matt is a
mechanical engineer and holds BS, MS, PhD
and MBA degrees from Rice University.
