regarding final exam

This is to confirm that the final exam will be a take-home according
to the majority vote taken in the class on Wednesday. I expect it to
be no harder than the mid-term, and since no one has complained to me
that the midterm has been unfair in some transcendental sense, I
assume all is well.

Also, I should point out that I will be extremely strict towards any
infractions of academic code of honesty. You will be required to make
a signed declaration that the work was 100% your individual effort,
and I will hold you to that declaration. I say this not because I
distrust you, but because some of your fellow students are quite
concerned that a take-home test is an invitation to cheating. I hope
we can collectively prove this perception to be wrong..
