A special "paper review" question added to final homework:

I added the "paper review" question to the final homework. It will be
due along with the rest of the homework at the end of the semester.
So, you don't need to worry what on earth you can possibly do over the
thanksgiving weekend..

 The URL
http://www-rcf.usc.edu/~skoenig/icaps/icaps04/programdetails.html

contains the list of papers and their PDF sources from ICAPS 2004 (which is the most recent planning
and scheduling conference).

Your task is to:

 1. Select a paper from the technical session. Any paper is fine.

 2. Read it.

 3. Write a review of the paper. Your review should be 1 page long and have the following
    components:
3.1 A brief summary (in your words) of the main contribution(s)
          of the paper.
3.2 One or two most important ideas in the paper and why they
are important. you can also relate these to
state-of-the-art as covered in the class (if applicable)
3.3 One or two important shortcomings of the paper that you
          could detect
3.4 Identify one or two important directions in which the work
          can be extended
3.5 A summary decision--if you were the reveiwer, would you have
accepted the paper? Justify your decision.
