Current Grade Sheet--*Please* check for accuracy...

Folks:
 Here is the current grade sheet posted according to the POSTING ID
(not the soc sec num/student id--we are not allowed to use those
anymore). 

Here are some explanations:

As of now, we have grades for midterm, two homeworks and one
project.
There was one homework 2 submission that didn't have a name--so if you
are missing a hw2 submission grade, and you think you submitted it, you
will have to come and identify your handwriting..)

Grades for 3rd homework, project 2 and final have to be entered.

Grades for participation will also have to be entered 

The current totals are computed using this scheme:

Hw1 --8%
Hw2--6%
Project 1--15%
Midterm--15%

So the marks you have there are over 44%

The extra credit marks from at home version of the midterm etc are kept
in a separate column next to the total. 

Grads and undergrads are kept separate. (The top percentage in grads is
82.74 and and UG is 81.25. Minimum for G is 43.76 and for UG is
23.01)

(plus the participation credit which you mostly earned--or lost
(depending on how many classes you missed and or slept through).

I am thinking about exact weights--one possibility is to consider 3
different weighting schemes---Project rich, Participation rich and
exam-rich, and take the maximum grade you get across those schemes. My
general preference is not to give 
D or lower grades (considering that people doing badly enough already
dropped from the class)
unless you convince me that you really need to have them. (Reminds me of
a joke I once saw--the teacher was asking the kids in the class to spell
words and says he will give them points even if they get just some of the
letters correct. The word that teacher asks is "Coffee" and the
kid is writing "Kaughi" on the board..). 

I am willing to listen to complaints, suggestions etc about grading
schemes--either directly, or anonymously--sent to
