It is over, Finally!

In case you didn't notice the time, the deadline for the takehome is
past. Hope y'all turned in the answerbooks in the department office.

I heard a couple of grumblings about the exam being long.. Remember
that the class over-whelmingly voted for take-home. The idea of
estimating the time taken by a take-home exam is a pretty dicey one,
and is complicated by the following reasonably obvious factors:

1. Some of you may be picking up the material as part of answering the
take-home (as against during the semester). That time should not be
counted as part of the exam (you don't count the preparation time
as part of in-class exam, do you?)

2. You tend not to give up easily in answering a take-home exam (as
against an in-class one--which ends by the wall-clock). How much
time you spend on the exam is thus highly dependent on your
tenaciousness. Don't blame the exam for it ;-)
